We learned how to make plastic life casts of our heads. Cover face in dental alginate first, then cover in plaster bandages until both set up nicely so person is under mask for 30-45min), must build mask around nostrils or will suffocate the victim. Once dried, carefully peel off face and then the interior of the alginate mask is filled with plaster. Once you have a plaster cast of one's head, you can sculpt all over it and then make castings of said sculptures and make those into facial appliances which can be painted. Anyway, my point is I did everything right with my friends mask except for the sculpting part where I left the nostrils closed and the teacher had the sense to tell me to burn the holes open. If I ever magically get a chance to come to England AND somehow bring a pile of special effect supplies I would do a work shop with your girls. That would fun.R.
