Another one for the Oscars

At last!

Yes, I know it was filmed in May. But the producer went off to be important in Asia, and it was on his computer.

Now forget the excuses. Things like that happen in the major studios, I believe.

Well today the producer is at home, and had a pointed stick waved at him and told that if he didn't put out Tiger's work to the general applause of the nation, I would kill him.

So here it is.

Applause!

THAT IS SO COOL! I especially liked the magically expanding weapon, and Papacrow thought the tiger looked like it needed a poo, and liked the revolving flame :)

awesome! best film! oscar!

I just checked, and I see that Tiger needed around a thousand still photos for this sequence. As it was intended as a learning experience, we used quite a few different techniques, cameras and software which accounts for all the wobbles which were not due to the relief focus puller's incompetence.

Every detail of the animation was done by Tiger - she was brilliant at it, and storyboarded it all. Actually, Tiger intended this as the first of three episodes, so you may yet see the sequel ... when we have overcome the union problems. Also, Tiger has been on a couple of animation workshops since doing this (one with Triffic Films ), so she may be asking for a larger budget ...

That is brilliant. I need to borrow that pointy stick to get some progress done around here. Not on anywhere near as grand a scale - just Playmobil people marching around and a Lego Pterodactyl, but still, it would be nice to get them done.

Impressed. Oh, so very impressed. Perhaps I'll send my three around to you to home educate for me - after all you should have gotten the hang of it by then...

Three cheers and an Oscar nomination for Tiger

Pure genius! Well done Tiger - and her assistant sisters - on a brilliantly conceived and executed project. The details were amazing. Film School for Tiger in the future maybe?

Very impressive - we all sat here and held our breath collectively. Would the tiger be saved? (being the kind of people we are no one was on the gladiators side.)

We were thrilled to see fluffy lived to fight another day. Exciting stuff.

I think their should be a sequel - do you have a story in the pipeline?(I am willing to post our playmobil lion to see if he can make a cameo!)

Well done Tiger, you should be very proud of yourself!

a thousand still photos. wow. we've played with stop animation a bit so I know how labourous and time con suming it must be...

NOTHING wrong with her focus then!

we're eagerly awaiting the sequals (oh, and we were routing for the tiger too. of course.)

There are so many great things about this film . . . e.g., the majestic ancient land in the background, the fantastic statues!... (I did wonder where the gladiator went when he "disappeared." Eaten perhaps?) Congratulations on your wonderful film!
