There is always a downside

7.47 am. Waking up, the day starts well. The night has been surprisingly restful, even with a sickly Squirrel occupying a large part of the bed.

7.49 am. The day takes a sudden downward turn when mummy Grit swings her legs out of bed and stands up with one foot in the sick bucket.

Chin up, Grit. After all, it can only get better.

TMOTL nailed it. only it can only get better from there.

But you've got me grinning ear to ear.

I hope Squirrel has kept her germs to herself even though she shared the sick!

No no nooooo. That is on a par with me skidding thru my dog's gastro-enteritis liquid poo in barefeet when I was 13. yuk, yuk and yuk.

I've had children's sick in my hair (shoulder length at the time), but never on my foot. Hmmm... interesting. Motherhood is just full of new experiences, isn't it?

I reckon the bucket was empty. I couldn't sleep with the stench of vomit wafting up from beside me and it would have been emptied and washed out straight away.

However, the memory of stepping on a vomited up mouse head and stomach at the age of 12 is still vivid in my mind.

Better than your head in it! (Sorry!)

Maggie May has a very good (very funny) point.

Hi Grit

Long time, no post.

Hope the dreaded lurgy has not claimed you as well, (although, to be honest, I'm not sure exactly how the epidemiological pathway works between a vomited covered foot and mouth?)

And bet it was cold too. Oh deary me Grit. May your Cornish holiday be so blumming fabulous the vomit soaked foot is erased from your mind forever....

Hope you had a good holiday. You must be back by now, surely? Are you OK?

There are awards at my place, when you have a minute.
