I spend the day catching up on reading - between essential activities like chewing on mouthfuls of grumble, excavating the kitchen floor on hands and knees, and packing the gritlets off to join a roomful of junior RSPB kiddies watching videos of owl disease - so for today Grit's diary record is mercifully short.
